Dear Parent/Guardian

It has recently been brought to my attention that not all parents are fully aware of the clubs structure regarding any child protection procedures.
Firstly may I let everyone know that we have a fully qualified child welfare officer in Belinda Scarrott, who has under taken all courses required by our governing body the Football Association.
May I also take this opportunity to let everyone know that each manager has taken the safe guarding training when they undertook their coaching course.
Should any parent, guardian or child have any concerns regarding child welfare they should firstly contact Belinda who will investigate all concerns and deal with them in an appropriate manner and in accordance with the FA regulations.
Unless in the case of an emergency If any concerns do come to light please DO-NOT approach any other member of the management committee as they don’t have the relevant training and as a result concerns may not be handled appropriately.
We at South Kirkby Knights are extremely proud of our child welfare structure and as such has an excellent record and one that we are always looking to improve upon. To this end we are currently looking at sending volunteers from each team to undertake a short safeguarding childrens course. Following this we will then hope to have a system where these volunteers can help support Belinda and the current system.
